 1 Values of projects, persons, teams and organisations

Finding out and balancing the values and roles of different persons, teams and organisations for defining the complex values of the outputs, outcomes and impacts of a project, a programme or a project portfolio and the project organisation. Discussing methods and tools to make differing values transparent and a base for constructive dialogue. Methods and tools for project managers to make the values of a project live throughout the whole project organisation.

 2 Project objectives and deliverables in an ethical context

Defining project, programme and portfolio objectives and deliverables is influenced by the ethical context of the project, programme or portfolio. In this stream participants will find answers on how values do affect the way a project, programme or portfolio manager handles the process of setting objectives and defining deliverables in a context of differing values and unknown ethical environment.

 4 Risks and opportunities in projects

How do values and ethics inlfuence a project manager's view on risk management. How many and what kind of risks are acceptable and what opportunities should be taken into account in particular projects, programmes and portfolios, for example in new technology, new organisational development and research projects.

 5 Code of professional conduct in project, programme and portfolio management

Most professions have a generally accepted code of conduct. For Project managers, different proposals and approches have been developed in different areas of the world, but up to now IPMA still misses a generally accepted code of conduct for the profession. Tha basis for such a code of conduct, as well as its relation to other agreements (e.g. individual group norms) will be addressed.
